SPECIAL NOTICE ABOUT EASTER 2021
We have received permission from Bishop Robert to align our dates of Easter with the Greek Orthodox calendar for this year only to make sure that our church can fit in with any regulations, restrictions and opportunities that may arise for churches within Greece. This means that our Easter Day is 2nd May and all dates related around Easter will be in line with that date, including Palm Sunday, Passion week, Ascension Day and Pentecost.
As we are following the eastern calendar this year Lent at HTC will begin on Wednesday 17th March. So we will be holding an Ash Wednesday service in church at 10.30 am. This will be zoomed from church and there is an opportunity for 4 people to attend this service in person. If you would like to, please email Jules - this will need to be on a first come first served basis. The service will include ashing and if you would like to take part in that at home, please do prepare your own ashes to join in with the service from church. (To do this, mix a little fire ash (or burn last year's palm cross) and add a little oil). We can all have 'one we prepared earlier' ready for the service!
During Lent, there are two additional resources available to join in with collectively; Daily Prayer and Reflection or join in with a course running through Lent from Sanctuary Ministries, recommended by Archbishop Justin Welby. If you would like more information please contact Jules or send a message through the website.
CORONAVIRUS PRECAUTIONS
