We have also been collecting for the NEPAL APPEAL...

On Saturday, 25 April, Nepal was struck by a massive, 7.8-magnitude earthquake, killing more than 8,600 people and injuring more than 16,500 people. Within 48 hours, our Emergency Response Team was on the ground assessing the needs and determining how we could best meet them. Two weeks later, a second 7.3-magnitude earthquake struck the country, leaving survivors even more vulnerable and scared.

Together with our partners on the ground, our Emergency Response Team is responding to people’s most urgent needs. We are providing essential household and shelter relief items to 8,000 families, as well as emergency health kits to the region that are expected to help 30,000 people in the coming months.

With the monsoon season rapidly approaching, it is a race against the clock to ensure that the most vulnerable people have the life-saving relief they desperately need.
Please give what you can to help the people of Nepal recover.

COLLECTIONS WILL BE MADE AT HTC UNTIL THE END OF AUGUST

LIVES IN THE BALANCE...
Medair, a Christian humanitarian organisation, is asking whether you and our church would stand with them this Christmas to support vulnerable children in the Middle East.
As you read this, Medair’s teams are on the ground in Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq working with people who have fled conflict and violence that most of us cannot even come close to imagining. A huge proportion of those affected are children. As winter approaches, their lives are in the balance.
Medair are providing essential items like shelter kits, blankets, food and health care to them and their families. You can read more about our work in the Syrian Crisis and Iraq on their website, www.medair.org.
They need your support to be able to reach more children and their families to deliver life-saving aid.
As we begin our Christmas preparations, bear in mind the plight of these children and set aside some of your Christmas spending to help them. There is a collection box at the church or donations can be made very easily through their website. Thank you and God Bless you.
